Leopoldina Beach is located in the parish of Ribeira das Tainhas, near the area of Figueira do Casquete, municipality of Vila Franca do Campo. This beach is very fine sand with a length of around 100 meters.
The access is made by a pedestrian path that goes down the cliff until the level of the sea. Its location next to the ruins of an ancient fortress that was part of the Vila Franca maritime defence complex gives it a unique feature. Nearby there are also some natural pools.
