São Roque Beach or, as it is also known, Praia da Igreja or Poço Velho Beach, is located on the south coast of São Miguel Island, Ponta Delgada municipality in the Azores Archipelago. The beach is characterized by its natural beauty, with the typical dark sand of this volcanic island, and very close to the city of Ponta Delgada.
The sea is relatively calm and very pleasant, surrounded by rocky outcrops that give it a great natural beauty.
The beach has an adjacent car park and surveillance.
