Pico do Carvão Viewpoint is located in Sete Cidades, Ponta Delgada municipality. This viewpoint offers a very wide view of the mountains of the Maciço das Sete Cidades and the north and south coast of the island.
From there you can see a vast expanse of volcanic cones extending from the Ponta Delgada municipality to the Ribeira Grande municipality, always having in the background several lagoons, such as the Carvão lagoon, the Caldeirão Grande lagoon, Peixe lagoon, Achadas lagoon and Éguas lagoon. Also nearby are Boi Peak, Mares Peak and Charcoal Peak.
