Pico Matias Simão Viewpoint is located in Pico Matias Simão, Altares parish, Angra do Heroísmo municipality, on Terceira Island, in the Azores. Given its location, this viewpoint offers panoramic views of much of Terceira's northern coast.
As the parish of the Altares is at an appreciable altitude above sea level, the viewpoint allows seeing, on clear days, the Graciosa Island on the horizon. It also allows appreciating the white houses of the parish mixed between the green of the pastures and the north slope of the volcano of the neighbouring Serra de Santa Bárbara.
