The Serreta Viewpoint is located in Raminho parish, Angra do Heroísmo municipality, on Terceira Island, in the Azores. This viewpoint is framed in the Biscoito da Fajã and Mata da Serreta, integrated into the middle of the forest and very close to "Estalagem da Serreta."
It is located over a lava flow that originated from an eruption of the Serra de Santa Bárbara volcano in 1761. This eruption has given rise to a volcanic landscape that has only been slowly conquered by vegetation. It extends for about 100 meters along the sea with tall fragas and some caves.
Due to the high sea level, it offers a very wide view, allowing to see much of the currently under study Protected Area for the SIC Zone of Serra de Santa Bárbara and Pico Alto (TER 011), as well as the islands: São Jorge and Graciosa.
